Terms of Service

1. The Service

Pingstickers provides QR code stickers that you can attach to your belongings. When someone finds a tagged item and scans the code, they are connected to you through our anonymous relay so the item can be returned to you, without either party sharing their personal phone number. We do not guarantee that a lost item will be found or returned.

2. Purchases and pricing

Some Pingstickers are available free of charge through our promotional programme. Where stickers are not free, the purchase of a pack is a one-time payment. There is no recurring fee for the stickers themselves or for the core lost-and-found functionality. All prices are shown in euro (€) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

We may offer optional premium features (for example, messaging delivered via WhatsApp) as paid add-ons. Where an add-on is charged on a recurring basis, the billing frequency (for example, annual) and price will be made clear before you purchase, and the core Service will continue to function without the add-on. You may cancel a recurring add-on at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period.

From time to time we may include a free promotional sticker in a pack. Each account is entitled to claim one promotional sticker only. If you receive a sheet containing a promotional sticker but already have one associated with your account, you may pass the sheet on to someone else who can claim it for free.

3. Activation and availability

When we describe activation as included or one-time, we mean that no additional activation fee is charged for the core Service for the usable life of the sticker. We do not promise that the Service will be available indefinitely or in perpetuity.

We aim to keep the Service running but provide it on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. If we decide to permanently discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable prior notice where practicable. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to a refund or remedy under applicable consumer protection law.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping the contact details linked to your stickers up to date and for using the Service lawfully. You must not use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others, or in any way that breaches applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached.

You must register and maintain your account using a permanent, valid email address that you own and can access. Disposable, temporary, or throwaway email addresses are not permitted. We reserve the right to reject sign-ups from such addresses and to suspend accounts found to be using them.

Pingstickers are pressure-sensitive adhesive stickers. Before applying a sticker to any surface — particularly painted, varnished, lacquered, or otherwise treated surfaces — you should test the adhesive on a small, inconspicuous area first. Some surfaces may be damaged by adhesive products. We are not responsible for any damage to surfaces caused by the application or removal of stickers.

5. Anonymous relay and communications

Messages between finders and owners are passed through our relay. While we take steps to keep phone numbers private, you should not share sensitive personal information through the relay. We are not responsible for the content of messages exchanged between users.

6. Consumer rights and cancellation

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have the right to withdraw from a purchase of physical goods within 14 days of receiving them, subject to the conditions in applicable law. Faulty or misdescribed goods may be returned for a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at help@pingstickers.com.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of, or failure to recover, any item. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
